Oman's customs department has imposed an additional two percent duty on the cost, insurance and freight value of imported products for non-submission of original legalised documents.

The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, or SIPRI, said Monday the arms import figures for the Middle East accounted for 29 percent of global imports during the 2012-2016 period.

Representatives of economic associations are the latest group to appeal against the Lebanese government's plan to raise taxes in the 2017 draft budget.
