Daesh leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has been recuperating for weeks from serious injuries, The Guardian reported Tuesday.

In a television interview with France 2 television on Monday, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad flatly denied reports that his forces have used chlorine gas and barrel bombs in combat.

Iran and Australia have agreed to share intelligence on tracking foreign fighters working with Daesh, as part of Australia's first official visit to Iran in over a decade.

As fighting continues in Yarmouk, the UN Security Council the council "called for unhindered humanitarian access to the Yarmouk camp and for the protection of civilians inside the camp."
