Al Bustan Centre & Residence, the deluxe hotel apartments which offer world-class services and facilities in the heart of Dubai, observed Earth Hour, the energy-saving initiative celebrated around the world to encourage businesses, communities and individuals to take simple steps towards reducing the harmful effects of global warming.
Staff and guests of Al Bustan Centre and Residence including shopping mall tenants participated in the campaign by switching off unnecessary lights around the property’s complex for one hour starting from 8:30pm. They also gathered outside the lobby of the property to hold a candle light ceremony.
Moussa El Hayek, Chief Operating Officer of Al Bustan Centre & Residence said: “Global warming is a serious issue that affects each of us and taking a small step towards bringing positive change will have a huge effect in the long run. We need to show that we care about our planet by observing the occasion and taking energy-friendly measures that will contribute towards a greener Earth. We are very pleased that several of our guests joined the candle light ceremony and showed their support towards this important issue.”
