Al Rai Media launches Al Rai News iPhone app in Beta

Al Rai News iPhone app is now available for download for free at the Apple App Store

New technologies are shifting the paradigms of traditional publishing models and converging media towards increased mobility and interactivity. And Al Rai Media has signaled its commitment to innovation by stepping into the mobile realm with the launch of the BETA version of AL Rai News iPhone application to allow its loyal reader to stay up to date with Al Rai Newspaper’s latest articles on the go.

The Al Rai News BETA iPhone App is now available for download for free at the Apple App store on the following link http://bit.ly/AlRaiNews and within a week from its launch has already been downloaded over thirteen thousand times from all around the world as Al Rai was one the first Media Groups in  Kuwait to launch an iOS application.

The application, still in BETA enables those interested in Kuwait news will enjoy the categorized viewing of AlRai Newspaper’s articles optimized for the iPhone device. The application also provides handy access to the screening schedule of Al Rai’s TV station.  Additional features of the application include the users’ ability to interact with the news by posting comments and adding articles to favorites. It also allows for easy access to contacting the Al Rai team. Whilst additional features and interactivity are to be rolled out over the next couple of months.

The Al Rai News application, that was launched last week, was developed by Integrated Digital Systems (IDS) as an extension of its collaboration with AlRai on its web portal and archive library. “Media Agencies and Publishers are indeed looking at ways to optimize their content and syndicate it through different outlets and different formats to expand their reach and retain reputation and marketshare in the shifting times, and companies are learning that launching a mobile app for your business, may be one of the best ways to be within the consumers’ arm’s reach”, concluded IDS General Manager, Jamal Anouti.
