Al Tayyar Travel Group held its second annual conference in the Saudi capital in which the key message was ‘Lasting success is the responsibility of everyone’, which was held over two days was attended by more than 80 representatives of Al Tayyar Travel Group from countries such as USA, Canada, Malaysia, Egypt, UAE, Egypt, Lebanon, Sudan and KSA.
The conference was used to discuss the performance of the Group and its subsidiaries during the past year. Other topics covered where the strategic plan for the next five years wherein the Al Tayyar is aiming to continue achieving more success in all sectors of the Group. Other points of note where identifying new ways to develop human resources and technical applications to keep pace with the continuous development of the travel and tourism Industry.
Dr. Nasser Al Tayyar Vice Chairman of the Board and Group Managing Director, said: “We are always keen to advance the Group’s business in line with the global development in the travel and tourism sector. We pay great attention to technology and how we can compete with the best companies in that field. We invest in our human caliber for they are our greatest asset”.
Dr. Al-Tayyar also added “The group has become one of the largest companies working in travel and tourism within the region, this annual conference gives us the opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences. It allows our employees to get to know one another and increases communication among them resulting in strengthening relationships and increased levels of performance of our employees.”
As a result of the conference, Al Tayyar Travel Group has decided to set up a special section for domestic tourism that will handle all touristic activities within the Kingdom. They also agreed to establish an entity responsible for education, both nationally and abroad enabling the group to provide services to meet the educational and training needs of the Saudi scholarship students.
Al Tayyar Travel Group operates according to a strategy that has helped it become one of the largest and most influential companies in the region and through this conference participant’s business plans and projects were discussed to develop the level of work and provide an integrated customer service.
Several points were emphasized at the end of the conference such as the optimum utilization of resources and mechanisms for the increase of sale rates, as well as the need for quickly implementing electronic services that save the customer’s time and increase his choices and options. The conference also stressed on the policy of vertical and horizontal expansion as well as the possibility of merging with other internal and external companies, thus striving for a complete integrated servicing system.
Other items covered were the importance of a communication system, the value of attracting qualified national figures as well as maintaining and training the nationals already working in the company and the advantage of insurance services in travel and tourism especially since the company has a subsidiary company for insurance brokers.
