Avaya, a global leader in enterprise communications systems, software and services, has unveiled to businesses in Morocco its latest technology products in real time collaboration including Avaya Flare solution, the industry's first next-generation user experience that delivers unique collaboration capabilities across video, voice and data. The Avaya Flare announcement was made at an ICT forum that attracted senior government and private executives and featured Avaya specialists from across the North Africa region.
The Avaya Flare experience, powered by Avaya Aura, brings to the user the first true Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)-based architecture. The new offering makes video calls and conferencing as easy as making a telephone call by using the same platform for both. Businesses integrate real-time video into their core Avaya Aura infrastructure for better control of costs, quality of service, administration and management. Adding video functionality to the network is as simple as adding video-capable endpoints, since no overlay network is required.
“The innovations Avaya is now bringing to this market are game changers, and will allow our customers in Morocco to change the conversation with their own customers,” said Nidal Abou-Ltaif, vice president – Emerging Markets, Avaya. “Our partners have done an excellent job at developing our business, and ensuring the satisfaction of Avaya users across multiple industries. With the latest collaboration solutions, our customers will be able to deliver a strategic impact which will help reinvigorate their business by using open, standards-based real-time communications and collaboration applications.”
He added: “Avaya is aggressively expanding our market reach in Morocco by driving our global leadership in the areas of contact centers, unified communications solutions, and data networking to businesses throughout the country and the North African region. We are also launching additional resources to help serve new business opportunities and expand our customer base here. Today’s forum will help our customers understand the true value of real-time collaboration, to enable them tackle new business opportunities. Avaya is continuously engaging with its stakeholders in Morocco to provide enterprise communications systems, software and services that will support putting the nation on the road to achieving Vision 2030,” added Abou-Ltaif.
Mohammad Khallock, Territory Manager, Avaya North Africa said in the conference, “ Avaya is one of the leading vendors serving Morocco’s government, education, healthcare, hospitality, financial services and telecoms sectors, servicing customers including Maroc Telecom and Meditel. Avaya has a large offshore contact centre presence in Morocco serving approximately 10,000 contact centre ports supporting Europe.”
Speaking at the forum, Hatem Hariri, the Managing Director for North, East and West Africa for Avaya, said: “The continued growth of the ICT sector through expansion of the fiber optic cable system, BPO centre expansion programs, E-School learning programs and construction of digital villages shall spur the use of video and other collaboration tools.” He further stated that The Avaya Flare Experience overcomes hindrances such as high equipment cost, the need for a special room and lack of integration by integrating all components in one.
The Avaya Desktop Video Device has been developed for the Avaya Flare Experience as a cost-effective, video-enabled desktop collaboration endpoint for executive desktops or power communicators that can also perform as a customer kiosk. It features a large 11.6” HD touch screen, supported by a HD 720-pixel camera and HD-quality voice supported by built-in dual microphones. It will enable campus-wide mobility via SIP and WiFi and also offers USB connectivity for an optional keyboard or handset, 3G/4G access or a thumb drive. Upcoming versions will support remote access over VPN connections and 4G access.
With a range of solutions from data networking, switching and routing, data centers, contact center and unified communications applications, Avaya collaboration solutions allow employees and IT departments to eliminate time spent on juggling and managing siloed applications, networks and directories with a fraction of the cost.
