Barwa Real Estate, one of the leading real estate and investment organisations in Qatar, announced the appointment of Mr. Khalid Abdulla Al-Hitmi as CEO of Barwa Financial District, and Mr. Ahmad Abdulrahman Al-Sayed as Acting General Manager of Barwa Village.
These appointments come in line with Barwa vision and strategy to enable Qatari employees and promote them to leading key positions in the Group. This gives chance to Qatari employees to cone their skills and enhance their performance through interaction with international talents. No doubt this accordingly shall increase Qatari employees’ efficiency and productivity.
Before joining Barwa, Eng. Khalid Abdulla Al-Hitimi, has assumed many leading administrative and engineering positions. He joined Kahramaa as a water supply network engineer, and then moved to join the Special Engineering Office as Engineering Affairs Manager. Since he joined Barwa in 2008, he was appointed as Project Manager of Barwa village, then General Manager of Barwa Village, Board Member of Masaken Barwa Limited Co, recently as CEO of Salwa Bay project, and finally as CEO of Barwa Financial District.
It is worth mentioning that Barwa Real Estate has recently inked a framework agreement with Qatar Petroleum (QP). Barwa Financial District (BFD) will develop its iconic project to become QP’s headquarter complex. Upon completion, BFD will transfer ownership to QP, who will own and occupy the development. The deal will see Barwa Real Estate delivering a turnkey scheme for Qatar Petroleum, enabling QP to commence operations with immediate effect from the first day of delivery.
Eng. Ahmad Abdulrahman Al-Sayed enjoys 18 years in amenities, facilities and real estate related industries. He is a holder of a bachelor of Engineering in 1992. Before joining Barwa, he has filled a number of key engineering positions, including head of maintenance unit, Qtel; head of Engineering and Academic Services, Aspire Sports Academy, then Operation Manager, Sports City in Aspire Academy. Since joining Barwa in 2008, he was appointed as Assistant General Manager of Barwa Village and recently promoted to General Manager of Barwa village.
