Most Muslim-Americans have lashed out at proposed advertisements be placed on New York City buses that call enemies of Israel “savages.” Muslims argue this is hate speech and they should be removed immediately.

But a federal judge in Manhattan, Paul Engelmayer, said he agree with blogger Pamela Geller that her First Amendment right allows the ads to continue, sparking much concern that Islamophobia in the United States is being allowed to grow and has found support in the judiciary.

“If we decided to put ask for ads saying Israel and Jews were savages, we would be protested and the court would agree with them that they are hate speech so I don’t see the difference here,” said Muslim-American and CUNY student Omar Makram Radwan.

The Pakistani-American, who has lived all his life in New York City, told that “this sort of hate speech is now being tolerated by judges and as Ramadan hits it is very unfortunate. People are angry.”

The judge, however, said that the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) was wrong in rejecting Geller’s ads.

Geller is the executive director of the American Freedom Defense Initiative. She publishes a blog called Atlas Shrugged that warns of growing “Islamization” in the United States and around the world.

The MTA rejected the group’s bus ad, arguing that advertisements should not “demean individuals or groups based on race, religion or other protected categories.”

Engelmayer, in his injunction on Friday, barred the MTA from enforcing its own standards. The case is to be heard again on August 29, and could force the MTA to allow the ads to be placed in public view.

Radwan and others tell that if the ads go up, “there will be widespread anger and protests against what to almost all common person is blatant hate speech against Muslims and Muslim-Americans.”

What are your thoughts on these New York bus ads? Are they blatant racism or freedom of speech?

This is a perfectly accurate and moderate billboard message.
Islam is an imperialistic, fascistic political ideology.
Almost every conflict in the world is centred around Muslims baying for the blood of Christians, Jews, Hindus or whoever has the misfortune of being located close to them.

I am not surprised comments like this coming from a country that did it to the original land owners. Zionist hide behind the US and it's trolls in congress and senate push their agenda for them. The really pity is Christian turn a blind eye.

In short:

What's "islamophobic" about criticising jihadists?

Aren't there supposed to be "moderate" Muslims, and "extremists"?

Isn't there supposed to be a difference?

You can only have a problem with this ad if YOU believe there is no difference.

And I address these comments to the author of the article.

The poster makes no mention of arabs, or of moderate muslims.

It specifically mentions jihadists.

So unless you're a jihadist.

Or YOU believe there's no difference between Arabs, Muslims and jihadists ...

you should have no problem with the ad.

Muslims pretend to be just like any other guy in the street, but only a fool will not see that their religion is full of hatred for those with differing faith. Any jew that accept an arab or muslim as friend is only fooling himself. Even in Nigeria today they form terror groups: boko haram, which goes about killing innocent people in the name of their god. Yet when someone boldly calls their religion hate-filled they try to quote the laws of civilized nations as though they live by such laws.

Peter your comment is totally ridiculous! If you know a damn thing about history, you'll know that if it wasn't for Islam and Muslims, Jews would be a thing of the history books.

Secondly, you ignore that the British foreign policy is still to this day morally bankrupt as are all the Euro-colonialists foreign policies. Everywhere they went, when they gave "independence" to the states, they installed despotic regimes where the leader was in no way, shape or form representative of the majority of the population.

Zionism is a policy built on racial hatred. If Zionism stopped, there will be world peace.

So Peter, get your head out the sand and just look at what the US Foreign Policy has been since 1940s and then talk to me about peace. Start by stop sending drones murdering civilians in Pakistan, Somalia, Yemen, Afghanistan etc. start by apologising for colonising Iraq, Kuwait, Arabia, UAE, Egypt, Libya etc.

The intense obsession that Muslims have with Jews is no secret. They indoctrinate their children with hate generation after generation.

It pre-dates Israel. It pre-dates the British concept of a Jewish state It's gone on for 1500 years and feeds off a mistaken, archaic interpretation of the Quran.

The barbaric instability in the Middle-East is a result of this hate-based theology.

If Muslims don't want to be stereotyped and blood-thirsty savages then they should start speaking up for decency.
