Steve Jobs dead: Father Abdulfattah John Jandali on the son he never met
"And Steve Job’s biological father was today seen holding a bit of his son’s legacy as he left his Casino holding his iPhone."
He has told of his deep sorrow at his son's death.
"And Steve Job's biological father was today seen holding a bit of his son's legacy as he left his Casino holding his iPhone.
Abdulfattah Jandali, who gave his son up for adoption and never got to meet him, said he was not shocked by the news of Jobs's death, but desperately wanted to meet him before he passed away."
Will his words from an interview with the Mail earlier in August come back to haunt him now?
Says the Mail: "He said at the time: 'This might sound strange, though, but I am not prepared, even if either of us was on our deathbeds, to pick up the phone to call him."

Jandali’s Dream Never Came True
"I once wrote an article about Steve Jobs’ biological father. For those who didn’t read it, Steve’s father is Syrian. The two have never met before, Steve was adopted by an American family right after he was born. Jandali’s dream was to meet Steve even if it were for a cup of coffee. I was reading the Wall Street Journal a few days ago a when I found “The Reunion Never Came“. I was really hoping his father met him at the hospital before his death."

For John Jandali, Jobs’ father, regret is evermore
'An improbable chain of people and events that stretches back over more than five decades followed by a twelfth hour appeal for contact, acknowledgement. However, rather than dead silence, these entreaties were ultimately answered with “Nevermore, nevermore.” '

Palestinian prisoners in exchange for Gilad Shali
Would another kidnapping lead to more releases, goes the logic of some now:
"Finally, the question which remains: As long as our freedom fighters are held incarcerated by the Zionist entity – when - the next abduction of Zionist soldiers? As it has been proven several times throughout this long conflict, only the exchange of a kidnapped Zionists soldier, will give the resistance sufficient power resources to set free Palestinian political prisoners."

Keep Syria Comment Alive
Find out about Syria Comment:
"Two years ago, several people who had never met and, in certain cases, did not even know each others’ real names, launched an online experiment called OneMideast.org.
The group consisted of ten Israelis and ten Arabs from a variety of professional backgrounds: academics, journalists, businesspeople, and various others. They had little in common apart from an interest in Middle Eastern politics, and a habit of spending hours on the Internet discussing current affairs with other political junkies on various Mideast-themed blogs. One of the most stimulating venues for such discussion was Syria Comment, a daily newsletter on Syrian politics authored by Joshua Landis, a professor of Middle Eastern studies at the University of Oklahoma."
