US on UN Veto: "Disgusting," "Shameful," "Deplorable," "a Travesty," ... Really?
The U.S. having a selective memory is nothing new. But this blogger calls them out on speaking against Russia and China's veto. It is ironic that the American media has been using language such as "travesty" and disgusting to describe the veto when the U.S. has a history of about 241 or so vetoes since 1972 on resolutions that were not beneficial to its own foreign policy agenda.
What are some of those American oh-so innocent vetoes, you wonder? This blogger lists many vetoed resolutions, including "Condemns Israel for killing hundreds of people in Syria and Lebanon in air raids," and "Condemns Israel for attacking Lebanese civilians."

Election Disappointment
This Kuwaiti blogger comments on his disappointment in the results of the recent Kuwaiti election, including the fact that no female candidates whatsoever managed to secure a parliamentary seat.
"I’m even surprised that no woman made it to Parliament, Aseel Al Awadhi was good and of course there are the bad but I was hoping for more women but it doesn’t look like it will happen in this Parliament."

"The lawsuits represent an interesting shift in strategy by women rights activists who in the past preferred to petition the government rather than to confront it."
