A decade of reflections from the Middle East 'victims' of 9/11

Muslims mark the day their lives changed- probably for the worse- and pay their respects to the direct victims of the towers; no doubt sparing thoughts for the decade's worth of collateral damage and Muslim victims thereafter.
9/11 Ten Years Later: What have we learned?
"Unfortunately ten years later, 9/11 has turned to symbolize a monument of irrational hate propagated by a Neo Conservative political agendum intended to perpetuate collective anti Muslim sentiment in the US, rather than taking a coherent inward look to learn from those tragic events and the unjust debauchery wars that followed."

Beyond the Myth of 9/11: The Path of Self-Examination
"September 11 was not only a trauma but, as with any crisis of identity, an opportunity for greater maturity. This would require serious reappraisal of the national project, beginning with the lure of self-mythology itself. Such castle-building enables those threatened with unmanageable external danger to split the world into us and them, superheroes and villains, good and bad forces, groups, and individuals. It replaces real complexities with the simple fantasy of moral triumph."

"Remember the Birth pangs of the New Middle East? The genius theory prophesied by Ms. Rice, who; on this eve of the 10th anniversary of 9/11, had ignored, underplayed and dismissed intelligence reports warning of an imminent threat to the US mainland, 2 months prior to the attacks, voiding her political wisdom obsolete since the first few months of the Bush Administration."

9/11 Mythology: The Big Lie of Our Time

9/11 Remembered. And Put in Perspective.
"I still remember this September day, ten years ago, when my whole family sat dumbfounded in front of our television set, not believing what we were seeing.
How could the United States, the world’s leading country (despite some in-denial people thinking otherwise), have this happen to it? Shouldn’t they have been more prepared? After all, two airplanes hitting their country’s biggest towers and an attack on the Pentagon isn’t exactly a small feat – for any terrorist group."
