Female Rabbi Supports Land Day March

With Land Day in the horizon (Feel free to check out our Land Day Slideshow for more info), trailblazer rabbi Lynn Gottleib is showing strong support for the Global March to Jerusalem! One of the first eight female rabbis in the world, Gottleib has been a strong Palestine solidarity supporter for 40 years.

"Rabbi Lynn Gottleib, has served congregations in the United States for 37 years, is one of the first eight women to become a Rabbi in Jewish history, and has been a Palestine solidarity activist for over 40 years. She spoke to PNN about the importance of justice in Palestine and her hopes for the future of the region."

Although 'awesome' is very strong word, Elie from Lebanon highlights some very innovative and clever ads. Some are a bit on the sexist side, others are actually really cool. Either way, they're worth having a look.

"Last week, Brazil was declared to be the world’s sixth largest economy, overtaking the UK. Few economists or policy-makers were caught off guard by the announcement. The country’s $2.5 trillion economy and 2.7% annual growth rate (compared to 0.8% in the United Kingdom) are astounding in a post-recessionary global economy and are recited with an almost blasé nonchalance by politicians and economists alike."

With a success story like this, it's worth taking some notes.

Roughly making up 50% of the world population, it's not viable for men to fear women under any circumstances. Yet, how else could the stigma against women be explained?

"Am I the only one who sees it as somewhat ironic that while Saudi men will worship, honor and usually obey their mothers they may have a candid disregard of other women. Is this in part due to fear?"

Many like to think that the jewelry they wear is a reflection of their inner selves. But what does coffee cup/tea cup ring say about you? Adorable nonetheless.
