Anonymous responds to Gaza attacks with cyber attack on Israeli governemnt

When the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) this week began taking military action in the Gaza strip against Hamas (as the IDF announced on Twitter), Anonymous declared its own war as part of #OpIsrael.

Among the casualties are thousands of email addresses and passwords, hundreds of Israeli Web sites, government-owned as well as privately owned pages, as well as databases belonging to Bank Jerusalem and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

I wonder, aside from the nauseating loss of life suffered by so many, how much regime and rebel sides care for the historical fabric of ancient civilisation that's being defaced.

And then I return to my mainline thought process on what is going on in Syria.

Not the ideologies of 'brigades' some of which send a shiver through my spine. That's for another blog. It's the implosion of suffering for the civilians hidden away in their often temporary homes.

I honestly believe we could have easily avoided this tragic incident if the proper measures were taken in advance. In fact, and as I said before and will always repeat it, Lebanese tend to react to events rather than act pro-actively to stop them.

While people of Gaza continue to be bombarded with Israeli rockets for the third day in a raw, people of Yemen made sure to show their solidarity with Palestinians.

Yesterday was the Friday of "Together to Support Palestine" in several cities in Yemen.
