Centre of Muslim guidance undermines the need for the veil for millions of practicing Muslims

Al Azhar confirms HIJAB is not a part of the religion
A good guideline for discussion would be resisting the temptation to reject a presentation by others as propaganda.
As far as your statement, “A statement of a Ph D thesis cannot change the ruling of the scholars of all times”, kindly note, that only God’s word remains unchangeable, and Prophet’s words remain unchangeable, provided, they are his words. Everyone else’s word should be questionable. Muslims are to read (Iqra), question and believe.

Al-Azhar: Islam did not impose the veil
Al Azhar is the main orthodox educational institute for Muslims, it's basically a centre for Islamic scholarship and jurisprudence, so for this thesis and conclusion to be approved and sanctioned by it is a surprisingly great step..It's usually very conservative so it's great to see them have space for different/alternative scholarship and thought..The conclusion is that the veil is not once mentioned in the Quran and that it's a tradition rather than any sort of obligation..

Aleppo battle as Turkey’s gateway to Syria
Would the “Mother of all Battles” in Aleppo between the Syrian army and rebel forces “give birth” to a Turkish thrust into Syrian territory?
I suspect it could.
It is a battle neither side can afford to lose. For President Bashar al-Assad, losing the country’s largest city and economic heart, would break his back. For the armed insurgents, losing their Benghazi would be a devastating setback.

Israel Replicates the Nazi Attitude to ‘Enemy’ Children
n its treatment of Palestinian children, the mentality of Zionism is no different from that of the Nazis to Jewish children. In their defence the Zionists will say that they don’t annihilate or exterminate Palestinian children – and that is true. But when it comes to imprisonment, shackling, solitary confinement, beatings and even torture, children suffer the same or worse.
