The Alternative to Assad? You're looking at it.
Not usually the optimistic type, this Syrian blogger has a good feeling when it comes to Syria's future leadership hopefuls. Political activist Khaled Abu Salah is one specific hopeful, appearing on several international news outlets and making public speeches. One of which appears on this blog entry with a written English language translation.
"Khaled Abu Salah is a man that has appeared a number of times on al Jazeera reports, and I first saw him when he was courageously telling one of the Arab inspectors about the horrific situation in Homs."

Difficult Conversations: Syria as seen from Lebanon

"But, why is it that so many folks think that their kids not being on time is somehow different? It’s an interesting dichotomy, if you ask me."
