Israel Recruits Two Arab Women as Propaganda Tools

It is a true crime when the oppressor uses the oppressed to do its dirty work. In light of Israel Apartheid Week, which is a growing and prevalent movement on university campuses around the world, two Palestinian Arab women, Bushra Khalaileh and Ranin Khouri, were recruited to speak positively of Israel on global forums and to the international media.

"Khalaileh said to Maariv news website that she 'as Arab Israeli, loves her state and believes it seeks peace and it respects all of its citizens'. Her status, as an Arab woman in Israel is much better than the status of other Arab women in other countries, she says."

The 2012 Palestinian Festival of Literature is reaching its fifth year and this year might be especially special as it will be held in Gaza for the first time.

"The festival, now in its fifth year, brings together Palestinian and international authors for cultural and educational activities. According to organizers, this year’s PalFest 'will have a pan Arab focus to celebrate the revolutions sweeping through our world.'"
