Jordan's King Abdullah Blows Out Candles for 50th Birthday

HM King Abdullah turns the big 5-0, a birthday he shares with his seven-year-old son! Included here is some info about the King's life, his education and his previous experiences before he was king. A King's CV of sorts.

Apparently Jordan's Queen Alia airport has been ranked one of the 10 worst airports in the world. Yup, the whole wide world. The reason? Unhygienic toilets. This blogger doesn't seem to disagree, citing dark terminals and long queuing.

Newsflash: it's an airport, not a five star hotel. The editors here in Al Bawaba beg to differ and, in fact, can cite worse: Some have seen airports that didn't have cleaners hovering about the toilets.
