Men of Arabia make Breast Cancer in Sisters & Mothers their Problem

The traditionally pink and very woman-led approach to the breast cancer awareness world struggle, is taking on a
new unorthodox male face in ultra-patriarchal Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia for Breast Cancer
An Arab-Spring-borne Saudi-male-speared appeal?
While this campaign has aroused (no puns intended) considerable controversy in the Arab world where 'some' conservative thinking by the men in the community deems breast-scanning as an unwelcome practice, and certainly not a welcome move for their 'wives, daughter or mothers'....it is great to see such pro-active appeals coming from the male arena of the Kingdom.
"It’s really good to such initiatives coming from Saudi Arabia, the idea is raise awareness about breast cancer through social media, Istathmir, Arabic for invest, is running a competition to encourage the youth to create a marketing campaign for breast cancer awareness in Saudi Arabia, according to this video 1 in 8 women in Saudi has breast cancer, they mentioned it’s the number one killer for women in the Kingdom, I’m not sure if that is true, I mean I never knew it could cause death,[check your facts!- Editor] but it’s a serious matter and all women should examine themselves periodically to avoid breast cancer."

Where is the wisdom of abandoning Arab-48?
"Sometimes I feel doubtful of the wisdom of Arabs in relation to the way we have been dealing the Arab-Israeli conflict. In one hand, we raise our voices everywhere demanding more rights and protection for the Palestinians while on the other hand we abandon, ignore and neglect what we call Arab 48."

Convo With a Taxi Driver
When Western Pop Music is not OK with 'westerners': "It was The Hub’s turn for the car, so I brought Lil Kinz and her little buddy home from an event in a taxi yesterday. I memorized the license plate number as he pulled over, as is my custom – since another driver told me asking to see his registration was too insulting to his honor."

Educativity : First Point Of Change!
"As we all know the theme that TEDxYouth@Amman decided to adopt is the expression “Educativity”. As I guess most of us have read or came to the conclusion that this structure is built out of two words “Education” + “Creativity”, but what is the logic behind this combination? Is this a newly created concept or not? What would we expect from this theme? And what is our role as youth in forming such concept within our societies? All of this and more will be discussed in this post."
