Never mind Johnny Rotten, real punks boycott Israel
It is commonly said that celebrities should stick to showbiz. In the case of Johnny Rotten, he is blackening the name of punk by making racist comments against Arabs. This Palestinian blogger declares that not all punks are cut from the same safety pinned cloth, as is shown by anti-racism group, Punks Against Apartheid.
"For every sugary corporate Green Day ripoff willing to cross the Palestinian people’s international picket line (I’m looking in your direction, Simple Plan), there are untold numbers of young folks forming their own bands, their own labels and own fanzines because they believe punk stands for something. It’s these people that Punks Against Apartheid seeks to reach."

Apparently, in Saudi Arabia, it is illegal for women and girls to get involved in sports, as it is a direct path to the devil. It kind of explains the obesity rates. Jest aside, this blogger discusses the importance of sports and how essential for them to be a part of everyone's life- men and women alike.
"Saudi Arabia is one of only three countries in the world never to have sent a female athlete to the Olympics. The other two, Qatar and Brunei, do not bar women from competitive sports and their women athletes have participated in other international sporting competitions."
