Saudi's Salman Rushdie: Hamza Kashgari Scandalizes Saudi via Twitter

In spite of apologies and retractions, Saudi writer and journalist Hamza Kashgari could not curb the wave of anger over his controversial tweets. As previously reported, he has now fled from the KSA. This Saudi blogger details minutes the kind of controversy and backlash that Kashgari has been facing, from weeping sheikhs to angered journalists.

"Hamza Kashgari, a young Saudi writer, caused a firestorm when he posted a series of tweets on the birthday of Prophet Mohammad last week."

When you think about a year, you usually think of 12 months. Not so according to the Lebanese prison system, which can now be likened to dog years. Apparently, a Lebanese prison year is the same as the "term" (or sentence) that you need to have a baby- 9 months.
