Among the thousands killed are Syria's sports heroes

It took long hours to put together images (from a Facebook page) and captions for this slideshow, which focuses on some of the scores of Syrian sports heroes killed by President Bashar al-Assad’s army, security and militia forces.

The talks finished on December 13, with the promise of more talks in the Iranian capital on January 16. Meetings so close to one another are a good sign.
