Tunisian Islamist Website Hacked by 'Anonymous'

It seems that even Islamist groups aren't safe from hacker activism, as hacker group 'Anonymous' are discovered to be the ones who hacked Tunisian Salafi website Hizub ut-Tahrir. It was kind of obvious considering they released a video a few days before saying they would do so. Well, time for the Islamists to cut their loses and raise those firewalls.

"Tunisia Alive quotes him as saying, 'We are not liberals, we do not represent any political party. We are for the people, we are the people. We fight fire with fire…' He added, 'We are not against Hizb ut-Tahrir. Personally, I am a Muslim; we are against any extremist idea whether from left, right or center.'"

Well, Lebanon's new ad lib book.. ahem.. we mean modern history book has caused a lot of debate among political and activist circles. It seems a lot has been omitted and this is raising quite a bit of controversy.

"It is one thing to write history from a subjective point of view and a whole different thing to wipe out historical events... It doesn’t matter who won this war or not, but history is for new generations to learn from, and must be as objective and informative as possible."

It's nice to know that McDonald's has the clever skill of managing to offend both women and Christians fasting for Lent at the same time.
