145,000 tourists visited Yemen in 2003

Yemen received more than 145,000 tourists last year. In a statement to the Al-Wahada weekly, Yemen's Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Mohammed Qafla said that more than 145,000 tourists visited Yemen, most of them from Gulf countries. 

He called to double efforts to improve level of hotel services.
