3i Infotech goes for expansion in the Middle East
Global technology solutions and services provider, 3i Infotech, today inaugurated its Bahrain office. 3i Infotech made this announcement at a press conference in Manama, Bahrain with the blessings of Dr. George Joseph, Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Bahrain who graced the occasion.
This is the third direct presence for 3i Infotech in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) country and is expected to boost 3i Infotech’s business prospects in the region. Of the six countries in the GCC – namely, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), Kingdom of Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and Sultanate of Oman – 3i Infotech already has its offices in the UAE and KSA. Bahrain is the 15th country in the world where 3i Infotech has a direct physical presence.
For almost three decades 3i Infotech MEARC has served the Middle East, Africa, Russia and CIS countries, and today the company prides in having more than 600 customers. With the establishment of its Bahrain office, 3i Infotech plans to strengthen its presence and improve service to existing clients in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Addressing a crowded press conference, Mr. Pankaj Chawla, Chief Operating Officer, 3i Infotech, MEARC, said: “We are glad to add one more country presence in the GCC region. 3i Infotech MEARC’s vision is to have as many direct points of contacts as possible and it is in this endeavor that Bahrain office is a significant step forward. Bahrain’s emergence as a regional financial hub through initiatives such as the Bahrain Financial Harbor has been a key motivator for establishing 3i Infotech’s operations in Bahrain.”
Mr. Chawla added, “By establishing a strong presence in Bahrain, 3i Infotech will provide an array of proven solutions to Bahraini customers, empowering them to leverage technology for increase in productivity and improved profitability. Keeping up with our tradition of being globally present and locally relevant, we plan to grow our operations in the Kingdom of Bahrain.”
3i Infotech has been conducting business in the Kingdom of Bahrain through its channel partners. The company recently signed up marquee clients such as Bahrain Commercial Facilities Company, a leading non-banking finance company, Solidarity Group, Bahrain Airport Services (BAS) and other such leading companies.
