446 industrial firms established in Lebanon in 1H 2002
The number of industrial companies established in Lebanon in the first half of 2002 reached 446, a 64 percent increase in business development compared to the same period last year, reported the Ministry of Industry. The new firms have an aggregate capital of $62.1 million with each company holding an average capital of $139,238.
Industry in Lebanon is one of the most important sectors for the country as it represents a main source of employment. The sector is mainly comprised of plastic manufacturing, textiles, furniture design, paper manufacturing, marble, wood and cement production. — (menareport.com)
