Airport International Group Organizes a Free Medical Day in Al Jizah
Airport International Group, the Jordanian company responsible for the rehabilitation, expansion and operation of Queen Alia International Airport, organized a free medical day in Al Jizah area on Friday, September 17.
The medical day aimed at providing free medical services to the Airport’s local and neighboring community. More than 150 cases from the residents of Al Jizah were treated at clinics set up in the Community Centre for Rehabilitating People with Disabilities
“As Jordanian company, we are committed to support the communities we serve and contribute to their social well being.” said Mr. Curtis Grad CEO of AIG commenting on the event.
Mr. Rodolfo Echeverria CFO of AIG said: “we are pleased that this event was beneficial to the residents of Al Jizah area. I would like to express my gratitude, on behalf of all AIG Employees, to all parties that facilitated this event and enabled us to get to know and help our neighbors.”
Medical services were offered to various segments of society including men, women and children.
At the end of the event, Mr. Rodolfo Echeverria toured the centre and viewed the latest equipments and technologies used in the facility.
The free medical day was organized in cooperation with Al Talbieh Youth Center and a group of volunteering physicians including Dr. Issa Al-Khatib, Dr. Jameel Al-Kooz, Dr. Wael Atiyya and Dr. Hussein Daif Allah, in addition to local pharmaceutical companies.
The USD750 million rehabilitation and expansion works at QAIA are well underway, including the construction of a new state-of-the-art 100,000 square meter passenger terminal. AIG is a Jordanian company with private shareholding by Invest AD (Abu Dhabi, UAE), Noor Financial Investment Company (Kuwait), Edgo Group (Jordan), Joannou & Paraskevaides (Overseas) Limited (Cyprus), J&P-Avax (Greece) and Aéroports de Paris Management (France).
