A high profile delegation from Abu Dhabi-based Al Qudra Holding, led by Eng. Salah Salem Bin Omeir Al Shamsi, Chairman and Mr Khalifa Khouri, Board Member visited the President of the Region of Rabat, Mr. Hassan Armani to discuss strategic investments in Morocco's capital city of Rabat. Also present was Al Qudra Holding’s Morocco based representative, Mr Taha Abdel Jalil Al Fahim, Regional Director, and Mr Hadi Tahboub, General Manager for Q-Link.
“Establishing an office in Morocco marks Al Qudra Holding’s first step in expanding regionally.” Said Eng. Salah Salem Bin Omeir Al Shamsi, Chairman and Managing Director, Al Qudra Holding. “Operations at our Moroccan offices should commence by October of this year. We will start with the city’s infrastructure and transportation development.” he continued.
The main topic of discussion was Al Qudra Holding's interest in investing in Rabat's public transport infrastructure that aims in developing the concept of an electrically driven tram-way in Rabat city. The President also welcomed Al Qudra Holding’s initiatives to develop water taxis and a water bus concept to ease traffic congestion. Heavy traffic is causing a problem in areas which are witnessing a number of important property development projects. Eng Al Shamsi re-iterated Al Qudra Holding's dedication to further developing the already close ties between the UAE and the people of Morocco, as this is an initiative closely followed up on by the President of the UAE, which is a legacy put in place by the late Sheikh Zayed al-Nahyan, may Allah rest his soul.
