Aramex marks 20th anniversary with extensive plans for expansion and further acquisitions
Aramex International marks its 20th anniversary this year with extensive plans for worldwide expansion, stated a press release. Earlier this year, Aramex opened a new one million dollar logistics facility at the Amman International Airport, and expanded its United Arab Emirates (UAE) facility at Jebel Ali.
The company's plans were announced at a media roundtable in Dubai earlier this week by President and CEO of Aramex International, Fadi Ghandour, “The Memo Express announcement is the first step in an aggressive strategy focusing on further acquisitions and expansion. We're capitalizing on our strong brand in the market, and our solid infrastructure, with consistent growth year after year – we're looking at a growth of 14 to 18 percent in the Gulf this year.”
Ghandour confirmed that the company's investment in technology will continue in areas such as improved tracking and tracing capabilities, in GIS systems for Aramex's domestic delivery service and for stronger fleet and route management.
Aramex International is a provider of express package delivery, freight forwarding, logistics and other transportation services primarily to, from and within the Middle East and the Indian Sub-Continent. From a small company with two offices in Amman and New York, Aramex has in it's twenty-year history formed a global network with 134 offices in 34 countries, as well as several hubs located in strategic positions with global coverage. — (menareport.com)
