Bahrain’s budgets for 2001 and 2002 approved
The Bahraini cabinet has approved the projected budget proposals for the upcoming 2001 and 2002 fiscal years. According to Al-Mada magazine, the total revenues were estimated at 669 million Bahraini dinars ($1.775 billion) in the 2001 budget and BD 675 million in the 2002 budget.
The total spending was assessed at BD 823 million in the 2001 budget and BD 835 million in the 2002 budget.
The Bahraini Cabinet has allocated BD 203 million to executing infrastructure projects in Bahrain during the upcoming two fiscal years of 2001 and 2002. This figure implies a BD 30 million rise, which is equivalent to 23 percent, compared with the ongoing budget. — (Albawaba-MEBG)
