Scores of families staged a rally Saturday expressing their frustration over the long years they have spent waiting for government housing. According to the GDN, police placed barricades to keep the protesters out of the Works and Housing Ministry's premises.
The demonstration, organised by the National Committee for Adequate Housing, was to highlight the plight of families who are still waiting for government houses 13 years after applying.
