Brand-Rex Signs Distributorship Agreement with Magnum Connect
Brand-Rex, a leading global manufacturer and supplier of structured and high performance cabling systems for data networks, today signed a contract appointing value-added distributor Magnum Connect (MAGNUM) as an independent primary distributor of its entire range of communication infrastructure products in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Africa, excluding Saudi Arabia. MAGNUM, with over ten years experience in the structured cabling distribution business has a proven track-record of delivering IT infrastructure solutions into the GCC market.
Announcing the partnership, Mr. Andrew Gomez, Regional Manager, Brand-Rex Services Ltd. said, “Magnum Connect has been our distributor in Africa for over five years and has been doing an exceptional job of developing our brand and business in that region. In the recent past Magnum has made huge strides in developing an extensive reseller network in the GCC and established itself as a formidable value added distributor, with a highly capable and motivated team. Brand-Rex is recognised as a market leader in the manufacture of cabling solutions. We invest heavily in ‘Research and Development’ to ensure our customers have access to the best of technology and leading-edge products. It was only logical that we decided to extend our partnership with Magnum to include the GCC in addition to Africa in order to take our business to the next level”.
Through this partnership, MAGNUM is responsible for distributing Brand-Rex’s high performance communication infrastructure products and solutions including GigaPlus, CAT6Plus, 10GPlus Augmented, U-MediaPlus, Voice, FiberPlus and Data Centre product set.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Murtaza Kapasi, General Manager, Magnum Connect said, “We are very pleased to have been signed on as distributors for Brand-Rex, a prestigious worldwide brand that has carved a position for itself as UK’s number one in the structured cabling market. This partnership enables us to increase our profile and footprint in the GCC and we are committed to providing the highest levels of service and support to both, Brand-Rex as well as our resellers. I am confident that with our strong team we will be able to grow the business and secure high profile deals in the region”.
The MAGNUM team consists of certified professionals with knowledge and expertise across the core areas of infrastructural cabling, networking, security and access control electrical products, cable management system and telecommunications, who can provide technical expertise in sales, presales and customer support as a value-add. The company, established in 1999 in United Arab Emirates (UAE) primarily to address channel requirements of the local and international markets, has gained exposure and presence in the distribution segment reaching out to many regions and has developed its channels within the Middle East, Africa and few countries in Asia including Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
Brand-Rex is a leading global manufacturer and supplier of structured cabling systems for data networks and a niche supplier of high performance cables for extreme environment applications. It provides complete cabling systems that connect the IT equipment in offices and datacentres – from patch cords and wall outlets seen in the office, to cable running under floors and above ceilings, to connectivity panels that interface with active equipment in the IT room. Within vast datacentres, hosting huge amounts of business-critical information, Brand-Rex offers industry-leading, high-speed and high-density solutions. Brand-Rex also manufactures niche cables for applications where high temperature, abrasion and chemical resistance alongside size and weight limitations are particular challenges.
Mr. Abbas Mukadam, Product Manager - Cabling and Office Automation, Magnum Connect concludes, “The addition of Brand-Rex to our array of products, gives resellers and systems integrators the opportunity of harnessing world-class technology to the benefit of their customers. This is in line with our vision of offering best-of-breed products and solutions”.
