casual wear retailer Giordano signs ASDA'A PR
Giordano Middle East, the international casual wear retailer, has appointed ASDA'A Public Relations, the exclusive Burson-Marsteller affiliate in the Middle East, as its first PR consultancy in the region. The contract covers the six nations of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), in line with Giordano's vision of becoming the biggest world brand in apparel retailing.
Executive Director of Giordano Middle East Ishwar Chugani said: “Giordano is an aggressive volume-orientated retailer, but the key to our continued success is that we are a highly customer-responsive company. We feel that ASDA'A matches our key values—quality, knowledge, innovation, service and simplicity.”
Established in Hong Kong in 1981, Giordano International now operates more than 1,000 stores in 30 countries, serving more than 1.5 billion customers across Asia, the Middle East, Australia and Europe.
In March 1993, Giordano Middle East was established as a joint venture between Emirates Trading Agency, Dubai, and Giordano International Ltd, Hong Kong. Giordano Fashions LLC looks after the entire distribution and marketing of Giordano products in the Middle East, North Africa, India and Pakistan.
ASDA'A, which means ‘echoes' in Arabic, has five solely owned offices in Dubai, Jeddah, Beirut, Amman and Cairo and nine associate offices across the Middle East, Levant, North Africa, Iran and Pakistan.
A stand-alone public relations agency, ASDA'A PR is part of the Team Holdings Group, which includes TEAM Young & Rubicam and Intermarkets Advertising, media buying concern The Media Edge, corporate identity specialists Landor & Associates Middle East and direct marketing company Wunderman Middle East. — (menareport.com)
