Chinese investments in Egypt reach LE 923 million
Chairman of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) Mohammed al Ghamrawy said that the Chinese investments in Egypt amounted to LE 923 million, distributed among 103 companies whose capital hit LE 338.4 million, and investments of the Chinese companies working in the free zones amounted to $27.3 million in 10 companies whose issued capital hit $18.5 million.
Al Ghamrawy made these comments during his recent meeting with the Chinese Deputy Minister of Trade and his accompanying delegation.
The two sides agreed on setting up a joint body to be in charge of facilitating cooperation through a plan of action.
