Computer sales up in Saudi Arabia
Sources in the local computer market estimated that computer sales in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will have reached two billion Saudi riyals by the end of 2001, reported KSA Today. This figure reflects a rise in sales compared with SR 1.5 billion reported in 2000.
The Director General of the Ayed Computers Corporation, Mohammed Ayed, stated that 223,000 computers were sold in the kingdom last year. The Saudi computer market constitutes 40 percent of the Arab World’s computer market. — (MENA Report)
