DIB opens two new branches in Dubai and Khor Fakkan
The Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) has opened two new branches, raising the number of DIB branches in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to 16. The new branch offices are located in Dubai and Khor-Fakkan.
“The Bank, as part of its expansion plan, will also open new branches in Dubai Internet City and Sharjah by mid-2003, thus increasing the total network number to 18 branches,” stated General Manager of DIB, Butti Khalfan Bin Darwish.
“Our new branch in Dubai has self-service divisions within the premises, with specialized automated kiosks for the Al-Islami Online, Al-Islami Al-Mubasher and on-line cash deposit services. These automated kiosks will enable our clients to directly deposit cash which will be credited into their accounts immediately, said Executive Director for Consumer Banking Services, Saad Abdul Razak.
Services provided by these two new branches also comprise specialized financial consultancy in both commercial and real estate sectors, current and saving accounts, investment deposits and financing services, besides foreign remittances.
Established in 1975, DIB is considered to be the first Islamic bank in the world that has implemented the principles of Islam in all its practices. It was founded with active assistance of the UAE Government, the Central Bank and people of the UAE. — (menareport.com)
