DIFC Regulatory Authority appoints new Regulatory Council member
The DIFC Regulatory Authority has appointed George Wittich as a member of the Regulatory Council. Wittich has extensive experience of financial markets and regulatory issues from a European perspective. He has held the position of President of Federal Securities Supervisory Office in Frankfurt and Chairman of the Forum of European Securities Commissions.
Dubai has set itself the goal of becoming a financial center fundamental to the global financial system. The Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) is the driver of this vision. Its Regulatory Authority will soon be legally constituted as an independent regulator. — (menareport.com)
