The host of the award-winning Discovery Channel Show ‘Build it Bigger’ Danny Forster will be the keynote speaker at the Aveva World Summit 2015, according to Aveva, a supplier of software solutions and services, the organiser.
The summit will run from October 20 to 22 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Dubai, UAE.
Foster will share his insight into ambitious and pioneering construction projects around the world.
His subject matter and engaging style will be an ideal match for the challenges faced by the executives and senior managers that attend the summit from across the process plant, power, marine and construction industries, said a statement.
Foster’s passion and skill for architecture and engineering has been portrayed through many different fields of work including his Emmy award for producing ‘Rising: Rebuilding Ground Zero’ along with Steven Spielberg, his co-executive producer.
The series chronicled the vast effort it took to rebuild lower Manhattan after the tragedy of 9/11 and the personal stories behind that effort.
Along with his academic work as a professor and lecturer at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design and Syracuse University School of Architecture, he also operates his own architectural design studio.
Mat Truche-Gordon, executive vice president of business strategy and marketing, Aveva, said: “We are absolutely delighted that Danny Forster will be the keynote speaker at this year’s Aveva World Summit.
“Our delegates share Danny’s enthusiasm and vision for engineering and construction and I am confident that he will inspire them with his distinctive perspective on some of the world’s most amazing building projects. Our customers understand the complexities of a mega project and have a very direct connection with Danny’s experience. It promises to be a very energising session.”
The summit will provide an opportunity to learn about new developments at Aveva and enable delegates to share their own experiences as owner operators, engineering procurement and construction contractors (EPCs) and shipbuilders, he added.
