DTCM to increase international exhibition presence by 70 %
Exhibitions form a major part of the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM)’s endeavour to secure Dubai’s leading position on the global tourism map. The Department has increased its international exhibition presence by 70 per cent in 2005 as compared to last year. Following this strategy, DTCM will take part in the 14th Holiday World, Central Europe’s premier tourism industry event.
Holiday World 2005, being held from 17 to 20 February 2005 in Prague, capital of the Czech Republic is a significant and well-known Central European Travel fair. Last year, the exhibition featured 638 direct exhibitors and a number of co-exhibiting companies from 50 countries. Over 7,000 professional visitors attended the show in 2004.
DTCM along with nine co-participants will highlight Dubai’s excellent tourism facilities to the Central European travel trade. Co-participants include Alpha Tours, Royal Gulf Tourism LLC, Passage to Arabia, Al Fanar Tourism & Cargo, Sun & Sand Hotel Dubai, Bin Majid Tours, Planet Travels Tours & Cargo, Dubai Marine Beach Resort & Spa and Oasis Adventures.
Holiday World is an important forum to increase Dubai’s tourist arrivals from Central Europe by meeting and interacting with tour operators face to face.
This year, DTCM is participating in 31 exhibitions and conducting 12 road shows across the world to strengthen Dubai’s image in the global tourism industry.
