Dubai gets media boost in Russia
Dubai's attraction as a tourist destination will be aired to 50 million viewers across Russia following the completion of a familiarization visit of Russia's RTR TV channel. The first feature on the emirate will be broadcast some time in the middle of April.
According to the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM)’s Hamad Bin Mejren, two 12-minute serials will be filmed on Dubai’s past and its shopping centers. The features will be broadcast during RTR’s Around the World program.
Inviting foreign media to cover the new and tourist places of the emirate is an important part of the DTCM's strategy. The aim is to create awareness among the people and in turn, help boosting inbound tourism. — (menareport.com)
