Dubai Shopping Festival brings hotel occupancy rate up to 90 percent
Dubai hotel executives reported a 90-100 percent occupancy ratio since the launching of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) 2002, reported Al-Bayan . Sources at the city’s hotels reported that reservations have close to completely filled Dubai’s lodging capacity. This year’s shoppers hale mainly from the Arabian Gulf and Europe.
Lat December, DSF planners launched a marketing campaign to attract as many tourists as possible to the event. The campaign got off the ground with a new TV commercial that was released on Dubai TV during the Eid Al-Feter holiday and was aired on major Arab and international satellite channels from the first week of January 2002. — (menareport.com)
