Dubai tourism projects development company launched by DDIA
The Dubai Development and Investment Authority (DDIA) has announced the launch of the Dubai Tourism Projects Development Company to manage the various projects of Dubailand.
DDIA Chairman Mohammed Al-Gergawi said: “The new company, as part of DDIA, will provide 'single-window' services for investors and project executers. It will ensure a developed infrastructure that is supported with quality services.”
He pointed out that growth rates in the number of tourists that came to Dubai in the past few years have strengthened the revenues of various tourism and hotel projects despite the high rate of increase in the number of projects within the two sectors.
Dubailand will include seven main divisions complementing each other to form a complex with other internationally recognized projects. There will be a variety of choices to cover from sports tourism, environmental tourism, scientific tourism and shopping tourism.
The main components of the project will include Sports and Outdoor World, featuring playgrounds, compounds and sports facilities. The project will span 206 million square feet and will include many projects such as Sports City, Extreme Sports World, Race World and Horse-Riding World. — (menareport.com)
