Durrat al-Bahrain bid to attract seven firms

Seven firms are expected to submit bids for the $53 million tender to build the bridges connecting the artificial islands of Bahrain's real estate project Durrat al-Bahrain, it was reported by the local press.

The tender includes the building of 14 bridges with a total length of 3.5 km, according to the project's developer Durrat Khaleej al-Bahrain. The contract is to be awarded to the winning company in July 2005 and the first bridge is to become operational in 2007.
