Egypt Gets Ready to WTO Conference
A delegation of Egyptian economists, led by First Undersecretary of the ministry of economy Abdel-Rahman Ezzeddine Fawzi, left for Brussels on Sunday October 14. Before his departure, Fawzi stated that the delegation would discuss a number of issues with the Egyptian Trade Office in Belgium in order to solidify a list of issues to be tackled during the fourth ministerial conference of the World Trade Organization.
The conference was planned to be held in Doha, Qatar in November. However, recent reports indicate with certainty that the conference will be held in another location. Officials conceded that several member states had expressed concerns in private over the uncertainties related to the security situation in the Middle East. - (Mena Report)
