Egypt petroleum exports decline
According to figures published recently in the Egyptian Economic Monthly Bulletin, the value of Egypt’s petroleum exports totaled $82.99 million in January 2001. This figure reflects a drop compared to the value achieved in the previous month of December, which amounted to $95.66 million. The value of these exports reached $112.68 million in January of last year.
The local petroleum consumption during January 2001 was 1.916 million tons, while in December 2000, stood at 1.926million tons. In January 2000, the local consumption of petroleum in Egypt totaled 1.750 million tons. –(Albawaba-MEBG)
