Egypt petroleum exports decline
According to figures published recently in the Egyptian Economic Monthly Bulletin , the value of Egypt’s petroleum exports during January 2001 totaled $82.99 million.
This figure reflects a decrease compared with the oil-revenue received in the previous month of December, which stood at $95.66 million. In January of last year, the value of these exports reached $112.68 million.
The local petroleum consumption stood at 1.916 million tons during January 2001, while in December 2000, it reached 1.926 million tons. In January 2000, the local consumption of petroleum in Egypt totaled 1.750 million tons. — (Albawaba-MEBG)
