Egyptian Business Council to be established by DCCI
The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) has announced the establishment of the Egyptian Business Council, which will be operating under its umbrella along with the 22 other business councils already established.
Deputy Director General of DCCI Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al-Banna announced the creation of the Egyptian council during a recent meeting with Egyptian Consul General in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Abdul Aziz Daoud and Chairman of the DCCI formation committee, Farouk Mohammad.
Al-Banna explained that following the approval from DCCI of the constitution to ensure it conforms to business councils' rules and objectives, the formation committee will prepare the membership forms to be distributed amongst perspective members from the Egyptian business community in Dubai. Once a deadline is set for submitting the membership forms, and the fees have been paid, the opportunity will be open for those members wishing to nominate themselves for a position on the executive board of the council.
He added that the members will be supplied with the list of nominees as well as a copy of the constitution for them to review before the General Assembly meeting to be held in May 2004, when the executive board will be elected and the constitution will be approved. — (menareport.com)
