Egyptian exports 174,000 tons of potato
The Egyptian minister of agriculture and land reclamation, Yusuf Walli, said that 174,000 tons of potatoes have been exported by Egypt this farming season.
A recent report in Al-Ahram newspaper stated that of these exports, 136,000 tons were sold to the European Union, while 38,000 tons were sent to various Arab countries.
Last cultivating season, potato exports to the European Union stood at just 112,000 tons and only 27,000 tons went to Arab markets. — (MENA Report)
