Emirates Computers to focus on advanced IT solutions at Gitex Dubai 2002
Emirates Computers (EC) will be participating in Gitex Dubai 2002 by showcasing its solutions for total core infrastructure projects and highlighting the need to invest in knowledge management technology.
This year the company's theme is Rebuild, an extension of last year's theme Helping Clients Rebuild Their Business, pushing companies to rethink their business processes. “Re-engineering business processes remains the key aim of Emirates Computers' operations. We have devised integrated systems that enable optimum automation between the front and back office applications, with the use of advanced solutions and knowledge management tools from our international partners like Microsoft, Oracle and Open Text,” said President Emirates Computers Hani Harik.
“Our major focus is now on wireless devices that facilitate the 24-hour worker and ensure
anytime anywhere access to information. Emirates Computers firmly believes that hand-held devices are one of the keys for putting a business process on a fast track,” Harik added
The company's participation at Gitex will focus on solutions that are designed to make sure that important information is pushed to different individuals in the company, no matter where the person is located at that moment. The company will highlight the efficiency of these solutions through the knowledge management projects it has implemented for 15 major companies in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) over the past 12 months.
The solutions on display at Gitex revolve round the concept of user-friendly interfaces whereby it should not take more than 15 to 20 seconds for the desired information to appear on screen whether it is a data capture or query screen, backed by smart engine coding that uses smart agents, triggers, alert mechanisms and data mining techniques to give 'intelligence' to the applications.
The benefits of push and pull technology will also be demonstrated by EC with a balanced importance to both, along with advanced facilities that allow the user to configure the system as he likes, giving him a choice of pulling just what he likes.
On offer at GITEX 2002 will be an extensive program of solution topics that will highlight the practical nature of EC's technology. These solution topics include storage and back-up, security, connectivity and communication, eLearning, eBanking, eCommerce, business intelligence and design support, supply chain management, technical computing, integration services and systems, mobile applications and solutions, and web services.
EC is a technology company based in the UAE. Established in 1978, its services, range from mobile communication devices to advanced supercomputers; from small LANs to integrated, multimedia WANs; and from internally developed bilingual applications to enterprise-wide management and decision support systems. — (menareport.com)
