Fair to promote trade between Islamic states
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will be the site in March 2001 of the first International Islamic Trade Fair, which will be aimed at promoting trade among Muslim countries. The event is being sponsored by the Islamic Development Bank (IDB). It has extended invitations to 50 Islamic countries, each of which is represented on IDB's board of directors.
The trade fair is expected to feature a wide range of products and services, ranging from the very basic to high sophisticated. Additionally, and educational program will be held, highlighting investment and trade opportunities.
