GCC families contribute high percentage of increase in weekend visitor numbers
As Dubai Summer progresses into its fifth theme week, the number of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) families in the city has seen a marked increase. Cars bearing number plates of countries like Kuwait and Oman were seen at the Modhesh Fun City and the malls.
The Modhesh Fun City visitor numbers were very positive with numbers touching above 14,000 this weekend," said Project Director of Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS), Laila Suhail. Malls across the city have reiterated this trend with visitor numbers reaching an all time high.
"With regards to Al-Bustan Center Sales for this year compared to last year please note that so far we have registered an increase of 27 percent and we are very optimistic about the coming weeks as the influx of GCC visitors is rising rapidly especially with families coming from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia," said Mall Manager of Al-Bustan Center, Moussa Al-Hayek,
With varying percentage increases in traffic, the malls in the city have reported in the overall percentage of sales for this week as compared to the last week. Palm Strip mall reported an increase of 14.94 percemt in the percentage of sales for this week as compared to the last week. Twin Towers reported an increase of 8.64 percent in the percentage of traffic this week as compared with the last week of DSS. — (menareport.com)
